Tour de France? not quite, but definitely planning on doing some serious kilometers.
Very excited to have 'book marked' August-September 2025 for a long holiday to France. To cycle along the Loire Valley, to see the sights of Paris, and of course to see a lot of other parts of France. That time of the year, after the European summer holidays, should be perfect!
On the agenda are chateaus (although there seem to be a awful lot, can one get sick of seeing castles?), historic towns with cobblestones, ancient buildings as well as museums and culture, eating fromage (cheese), eating croissants, baguettes and other bakery goodies, and lots of vin (wine) tasting from the various regions that we will pass through on our vélos (bikes).
Time to start delving into maps and cycling route websites to develop a travel plan.
